I love cognitive psychology. It’s better than chocolate. So you might imagine how happy I was to recently discover a great blog called Cognitive Daily. The primary purpose of the blog is to review psychology articles from peer-reviewed academic journals.
Sometimes the articles resonate with a Montessori audience, like this recent post examining the connection between movement and cognition. Dr. Montessori observed this decades ago, but today’s scientific community tends to give greater credence to clinical or experimental research than observation in an authentic setting. Here is a nice piece of experimental research that supports Dr. Montessori’s observations.
